Dabkeh isn’t just a dance  it’s energy, connection, and celebration. It’s the pulse of weddings, festivals, and gatherings. Now it’s your turn to step into the circle.

Whether you grew up watching Dabkeh or you’re trying it for the first time, this workshop is designed to get you moving confidently quickly and together as a group.


What You’ll Experience

  • Strong Foundations:

       Learn the essential steps, posture, and footwork that form the backbone of Dabkeh. No experience needed — we start from the basics.


  • Mijwiz & Sha’abiyyah (الدبكة الشعبية):

       Move to the fast, electrifying rhythm of the mijwiz and explore the power of synchronized, high-energy steps.


  • Folklore Style:

       Practice traditional Dabkeh patterns passed down through generations, with a focus on unity, timing, and presence.

Mohammad Nassar


Mohammad has been teaching and performing Dabkeh for the last 9 years. While he works professionally in insurance, his deep passion for dance has led him to become a key instructor at Jadal, focusing on popular "Sha’abiyyah" and line dancing.


For the past year, Mohammad has also been teaching Folklore Dabkeh at Al Balad Theater, where he guides students through full choreography each semester. His classes go beyond the steps, focusing on essential skills like rhythm, musicality, spacing, and building stamina.


As a long-time performer with the Majdal Dance Troupe, Mohammad has worked on numerous cultural projects over the years. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, he brings nearly a decade of experience to help you find your rhythm in the circle.
