The Homam Darwazeh Music Scholarship
The Amman Institute of Performing Arts (AIPA) is pleased to announce the Homam Darwazeh Music Scholarship for one dedicated and talented violin student.
The scholarship covers one year of tuition and related expenses for AIPA’s Comprehensive Course, a rigorous program designed for dedicated students of music, with five hours of weekly training in the following areas: Principal Study (60 minutes), Music Theory and Ear Training (60 minutes), Music History (60 minutes), Chamber Music (60 minutes), and Choir and Solfeggio (60 minutes).
Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is open to students aged 4 to 16 who are Jordanian citizens or have at least one Jordanian parent.
Previous experience with the violin is not required, but applicants must show a strong commitment to learning the instrument and to enrolling in the Comprehensive Course. We encourage passionate young individuals with a serious interest in music to apply.
Timeline
- The application period is October 15 - November 15, 2025.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to audition in person at AIPA on November 29, 2025.
- Finalists from the live auditions will then be invited for an interview between December 15–19, 2025.
- One candidate will be selected to receive the scholarship on December 20, 2025.
- The scholarship recipient will join the Comprehensive Course on January 30, 2026.

- Selection Discretion
The Amman Institute of Performing Arts (AIPA) reserves the full right to select the scholarship recipient based on internal evaluation criteria. The selection process will be at the sole discretion of the AIPA scholarship committee. - No Guarantee of Acceptance
Submission of an application does not guarantee an audition, interview, or scholarship award. All applications will be reviewed, but only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. - Non-Negotiable Outcomes
The outcome of the audition, interview, and final selection process is non-negotiable. AIPA is under no obligation to provide feedback or justification for its decisions. - Professional Conduct
Applicants and their guardians are expected to maintain respectful and professional conduct throughout the application and audition process. Any disrespectful or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate disqualification. - Accuracy of Information
All information submitted in the application must be truthful and accurate. Any false or misleading information may result in disqualification or withdrawal of the scholarship offer. - Privacy and Data Protection
All personal data and application materials submitted will be kept strictly confidential and used only for the purpose of evaluating applicants for this scholarship.
